It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the 12th edition of CHIREC Model United Nations, taking place from July 26th to 28th, 2024. CHIREC MUN has served as a vibrant hub of ideas, an amalgamation of passionate opinions, and one of the best platforms in Hyderabad for thoughtful debate and innovative thinking to solve some of the world's most pressing problems.

CHIREC MUN continues to have an ever-increasing relevance to students in today's world. In a world where issues thought to be of the future are rearing their heads now, it has never been more essential for us to be aware of the problems we are about to face. This conference serves to reaffirm the responsibilities of the global citizen, to approach global issues with the motto 'Represent • Reason • Resolve.'

We, the Secretariat, remain committed to excellence, aiming to surpass expectations set by the previous edition. The wide variety of committees in this edition explores a vast range of global issues, encouraging delegates to dive into matters of the past, present, and future that will undoubtedly have an indelible impact on our generation. Each committee has been hand-picked to ensure engaging debate, promote creative thinking, and inspire thought that transcends the limits of this conference.

Whether this will be your first conference or your fiftieth, I can assure you that you will leave this conference with a marked difference in your perspectives and fresh inspiration to create innovative solutions to the world's problems.

Welcome to the 12th Edition of CHIREC Model United Nations.
This year, as we convene once again, we are reminded of the significant impact that our Model United Nations conference has on the lives of the participants. It has not only taught but has also empowered young minds to tackle some of the most pressing issues that we face in today's world with empathy, intelligence, and creative problem-solving.
For this edition of CHIREC MUN, our aim is to provide an educational and enjoyable experience for our delegates. We seek to foster public speaking and communication skills while helping delegates expand their knowledge about international affairs, global challenges, and the structure and operations of the United Nations. This experience will help students develop a better understanding of the world and its diverse cultures, histories and political systems.
With 12 exciting committees, simulating some of the largest and most prominent organizations in the world, we hope that this year’s conference will be the most memorable one yet and we can’t wait to see you there!
